Hi Gorgeous!
Well, If you haven't guessed from the title, I had the honor and truly pure luck of meeting the Pixiwoo Sisters today! I'll be honest, working in the city and in my building I often get the benefit of rubbing shoulders with some amazing people. But today put me completely over the edge!! I have NEVER EVER expected to meet people I actually idolize, that totally captured my attention, and profoundly inspired me. I guess fate had a different plan and literally put the amazingly gorgeous Pixiwoo sisters right in front of me.
I'll start by saying that work and life have been so busy. As I've mentioned in the past, I am planning my wedding (only 5 months away!!), working for the SVP of my corporation, and still trying to fit 'me' time into my daily routine. SO, I had not been on my usual social media outlets (twitter/snapchat/youtube/IG) like I typically am. I literally had no idea that @Nixiepixi1 and @pixiwoos were traveling to, let alone, IN the Big Apple.
You can imagine my surprise when I stepped out of my building for a lunch walk, to see Sam and Nikki standing there. I could barely get my thoughts together, when I pulled my poor coworker to the corner and tried to create words in the English language to describe what was going on. I finally got enough out to say, "Oh my God, its the Pixiwoo sisters- I can't believe they are right there! D, do you think it's ok to ask them to take a picture? I shouldn't bother them right? OMG I can't believe its them! Look at Nikki's Valentino shoes! Should I ask them for a picture?" Without hesitation, my friend, and co-worker, looked at me and said, "You must absolutely ask them for a picture- give me your phone" - thank you for this, D ♡
Before I knew it, I was approaching Nikki and Sam to ask if they'd mind taking a minute for a photo with me!!!!!! (cue my nerves, pure fan-girl excitement, and the slowing down of time around me). I must say that I love them, even more than I had, after meeting them. They had no hesitation taking a photo-immediately pulling their sunglasses up and standing next to me with their beautiful outfits, well styled hair, and OF COURSE, angelically glamorous faces (these ladies can truly 'beat face').
They took the time to compliment me (Nikki said my perfume smelt absolutely beautiful) and to even ask my Name and tell me it was 'Nice to meet you'- I MEAN COME ON!!!!!!! Is this even real life!
I think it took 30minutes for the adrenaline to settle and I can only hope that this feeling of bliss, excitement, and ride on cloud 9 lasts me the rest of the week.
I only hope that you all get the chance to cross paths with Sam and Nikki and truly hope they know the impact they have on so many makeup loving, guru aspiring, individuals like myself. A truly magical moment in my life- so thank you Sam and Nikki for a memory to last me a lifetime <3
Cheers to the beautiful (inside and out) Pixiwoo Sisters and to you!

L'Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte- HumpDay Happiness
Hi Gorgeous!
During a recent trip to CVS I spent, like normal, an obnoxious amount of time in the beauty aisles, and came across this new foundation form L'Oreal that has been the talk of the town. The L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte foundation is a demi-matte foundation with claims to last 24hrs.
Ladies ... the day has finally come where a drug store brand makes an INCREDIBLE foundation!
I have been IN LOVE with this foundation, its coverage, its application, and its wear. Whenever I wear it I am in love with the way my skin looks and always shocked when I hit the 'little girls room' at how great it still looks throughout the day!
I would say the finish is satin matte which is complementary for people with oily/combination skin. Unless using with a thick moisturizer and hydrating primer, I'm not sure I'd recommend for those with Dry skin. I say this because I had a dry patch (after treating a dreaded pimple) and I noticed the foundation clung to it!
The coverage is medium-full and the color match is pretty point on (currently in shade 104 but may need to repurchase darker once summer is in full swing)
All in all, I give this foundation a 10.5!!! (thats out of 10, which means it's, like, REALLY good). And at $12.99 (thats without a sale or coupons).... who could really complain!
So go on ladies, enjoy this sunny HumpDay
and get to your local drugstore!
Cheers to a beautiful you,

Josie Maran does it again! All the warm tingles on a Thursday ...
Hi Gorgeous!
Remember when I wrote about the Josie Maran Argan Tanning Cream? And I thought well it can't get better than this.... annnddd then she came out with the Josie Maran Argan liquid Gold Self-Tanning Oil!!!!
Let me first say that trying to be more consistent with my self tanning, has been a recent mission of mine. I've been trying a few self tanners, but this one just amazes me every time! I can't tell you if it's just the almost felt like mitt, the Super hydration that it gives my skin, or the vanilla-apricot smell, that makes me like it the most but it's the combination that drives this self tanned to the top!!
Application is easy and just like any other self tanner except the smell is wonderful and instead of a lotion this is an oil. I will say that I am already terifyed of running out (it's still on backorder) and the fact that you can't really see through the bottle doesn't help. This gem is retailing at a whopping $38 (second reason I'm fearful of running out) BUT thats right in the range with the other high-end self-tanners.
Sooo if you are in the market for a new self tanner, that's free of Parabins, Sulfates, Phthalates, and that hydrates your skin with 100% Argan Oil - than this bronzed oil is for you!
Cheers to a beautiful you,

Fabulous Friday Finds!
Hi Gorgeous!
2 obsessions this week .... Laura Mercier Ritual and Beautycounter Dew Skin Moisturizing Coverage!
Laura Mercier Ritual:
First of all- many of you will remember, like me, how this Baked Bronzer made its very first appearance over a year ago and sold out almost immediately!
Well, when I saw it on Sephora.com I immediately threw it in my online cart and by the time I went to check out, well 'wudda ya kno' it was out of stock!
Lucky for us all- it came back in stock and has been there since! I knew I was going to love it as soon as I received it.
It is a bit intimidating at first as there are a variety of bronze colors, some deeper than others, as well as streaks of pink! It is honestly the most beautiful bronzer I have used in a while, with multipurpose use and fantastic wearability. I don't think it could look bad on anyone!
Favorite way to use it? As a bronzer/blush!! I apply from cheekbone to mid cheek with a synthetic brush and each time immediate fall in love and dream of the beach! If you have been considering it, or are looking for a great value or a new bronzer, GO, no RUN to Sephora and pick this gem up or order online (hyperlink is up above)!
Beautycounter Dew Skin Moisturizing Coverage:
You know I have reviewed several products from Beautycounter including the original tinted moisturizer. When they launched their Dewy version I was honestly excited as my skin has been dull lately. I'm currently using shade 2 and will maybe get another month out of it before its a bit too light for the summer.
It is definitely dewy in application and semi-dewy in finish, once the product has sat on the skin. I do feel it is a bit more moisturizing than the original formula, but it does provide less coverage- which could be perfect for warmer weather. The only downfall is the smell ... I'm not sure what it is but it reminds me of grandma's! Could be worse I guess, but definitely not a smell most would like having on their face. I will say, after the 4th use I did not really even pay attention to the smell!

MARCH is in like a lion ... and my skin has gone wild!!
Hi Gorgeous!
So March is upon us and my skin is rejecting me (naturally since I have a trip planned and it is my bday month)!
*Please note that this is a slight exaggeration as I have never really battled with acne or bad skin. With that being said, what has been happening to my skin has been unusual and 'bad' for me, personally*
There have been several changes in my life (planning my wedding / increased workout / diet change) and I'm sure these have contributed to the change in my skin. What I'm dealing with is little 'bumps' as I'll call them. They don't turn into whiteheads, and they don't turn into black heads, and when I squeeze them nothing comes out. They are not itchy or red or patterned at all, just raised bumps in my skin.
I've also always had a lot of visible pores that get clogged and so with working out those have increased as well.
And so my dilemma led me down the skincare isles at Sephora and right into the bliss of GlamGlow. I have used several products from the GlamGlow line and have been satisfied so I thought I'd try another one of their masks. This time I picked up the GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD CLEARING TREATMENT and finally tired it out yesterday afternoon while my hubby2be played some playstation!
First impression- smells good, light in consistency, dark in color (all as expected)
I applied the mask all over my face, avoiding the mouth and eye areas and noted the tingling sensation it gave my skin immediately (at some points a bit more of a 'sting').
The instructions advise letting the mask sit for 5-20 minutes and so I chose to keep it on for 20 since I had the time. The mask, like most, stiffened and but always felt cool on the skin. I washed it off with warm water and a damp rag after the 20min and BAM all done!
Final impression- Loved the way it felt on the skin / excited to use it, also, as a spot treatment / skin looked rejuvenated and bright BUT I'm not sure it really drew much out from my skin. With that being said, I am aware that like with most skincare, it will take multiple uses to see true results and so (as Arianna Grande would say) I've got to try, try try again!
Cheers to a beautiful you,
*MKG
